Mykola Tomenko: The State is supposed to care more efficiently of Mothers Fostering Their Children Themselves
Discussing the problem of upbringing of young generation on the occasion of the International Children's Day, Mykola Tomenko, Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine stated that during last years the special attention was paid to the aid after the child´s birth, though the problem of upbringing according to him needs bigger attention.
Among preliminary state tasks Mykola Tomenko mentioned increase of the monetary aid to the young families with children and emphasised that the special attention on the part of the authorities should be paid to the single mothers and state policy aim at the building and formation of the necessary conditions for the functioning of the nursery schools.
"The problem of the proper financial security of motherhood and childhood today is one of the most essential and urgent in the sphere of social protection in Ukraine. In particular it concerns children being fostered in single-parent families", he stressed.
